For moderate temperature use: -148°F (-100°C) to 392°F (200°C)
Thickness: 0.20 in (5 mm)
Spaceloft® Subsea insulation, due to its very low thermal conductivity, is used for thermal insulation for pipe in pipe (PIP) applications in the major offshore sectors. Customers can request almost any desired thickness to suit their pipeline thermal goals. The insulation is ideal for very hot pipelines as well as cooler pipelines that can sometimes be found in deep fields. Spaceloft® Subsea insulation has the ability to minimize heat loss for extremely long tiebacks. It is manually installed in a continuous process and, because it is flexible, can be easily tailored on site if required. Spaceloft® Subsea insulation is provided prepackaged ready for use or in roll format for later processing.
For moderate temperature use: -148°F (-100°C) to 350°F (177°C)
Thicknesses: 0.20 in (5 mm), 0.40 in (10 mm)
Cryogel® Z is a new thermal insulation for pipe in pipe (PIP) applications. It is economically produced in standard thicknesses and can be installed by manually or by automation. The insulation comes with its own radiation reflection per ply, allowing multiple levels of radiation isolation combined with the low thermal conductivity of aerogel performance. Cryogel® Z insulation can be very easily trimmed on site using a hot knife. It is available in rolls for roll wrapping or produced in blankets for traditional manual installation. The fiber reinforced thermal insulation can be used on large surfaces or on pipelines that require insulation strength.
For moderate to high temperatures: -40°F (-40°C) to 1200°F (650°C)
Thicknesses: 0.40 in (10 mm)
Pyrogel® XTF insulation is used for a wide range of industrial applications including refineries, petrochemical, and gas processing when fire or flame is present. Pyrogel® XTF is the most effective high-temperature insulation material in the industrial market, typically 2-5 times thinner than competing products. Pyrogel® XTF insulation is efficient, durable, and more productive to install. It is produced in roll form or precut into rectangular sheets for quick installation for field joints.
